Faculty

Anshu is an interdisciplinary academic trained in Science & Technology Studies (S&TS) methodologies. She works on the intersection of knowledge institutionalisation and policy-making processes in Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). Her work on CCA explores the issues around problem framing and knowledge discourse in climate change and how that impacts policy process.  Her work also includes understanding the operationalization of DRR in India with specific focus on how institutions magnify/ reduce impacts through human built systems and policies.

Before joining IIT Delhi, she was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at King’s College London, where she worked on UK Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funded projects.  More recently, she has been part of the team drafting India’s First Adaptation Communication Report to the UNFCCC and a visiting faculty at the Environmental Studies Department, Ashoka University.
